Day 1
First things first. Get to a cafe, spark up a cigarette, order an espresso, and move your sunglasses every so often. Just kidding, except for the espresso part. You’ll need that. First stop is, the Louvre.
The Louvre diamond architecture you see from the outside and inside the Louvre will set the stage for what’s to come. The Louvre holds possibly the most celebrated works of art in the whole world.
Enjoy the walk along the Seine River as you make your way to the Eiffel Tower. Across the street is the Palais de Chaillot. It also offers a good viewpoint for a picture of the Eiffel Tower.
Stop for an espresso and look for the cafe that has the best outside seating.
A wide loop will take you to the L'Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile as well as a walk down the famous street, Champs Elysses.
As if that wasn’t enough for one day, we’re heading to northern Paris.
The trip up north to see the Scare-Coeur Basilica is a bit of a hike, but it’s definitely worth it. This neighborhood also holds some very quaint restaurants just below the hill.
Remember to always try and get off the main tourist attraction areas to find your own adventure type places. Within the Moulin Rouge neighborhood, there are plenty of things to do and see.
Day 2
Tons of fresh air today. Beautiful parks, architecture, and of course, great food. You must look for the stands selling fresh bread, cheese, dried fruits, and olives next to Luxembourg Park. Perfect spot for relaxing.
If there is one thing I know for sure about Paris, they have abundant and beautiful gardens.
Jardin des Plantes and Luxembourg Gardens are close enough to each other to indulge in both of them. Bring a book. Bring a notebook. Bring a friend to talk with. Bees and insects vibrate this environment with an abundance of energy.
Also along the way, you’ll run into Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris overlooking the Seine.
The Pompidou is a must visit when coming to Paris. The contemporary art museum continues to present mind bending works that force you to consider feelings you’ve never felt before. Incredibly creative. The Pompidou at night offers a free show of the Eiffel Tower as it lights up the night sky.
